This line from the Eagles- classic "The last resort" unfortunately is true in many cases. Many- not all! Fortunately, the Khao Lak Paradise Resort is not one of those "kiss it goodbye"- cases.
Located on the foot of a slope between Sunset Beach and Nang Thong Beach, the Paradise Resort is a perfect mix of jungle- and beach- resort. Giant jungle trees greet the guest around the entrance, but when you go (walk or drive by electro- buggy) down to your room, the area opens up and reveals a nice seaview.
This is one of the "traditional" Thai- resorts: no ultra- modern, "cool & hip" design. If you stay at the Paradise Resort you just know, where you are: in Thailand!
Teakwood is the main material, there is silk everywhere and traditional Thai- art graces the walls.
Over the years, there have been many attempts by major hotel chains, to buy the resort, but the Paradise is still family- owned and takes pride in being what they are: a small, luxury hotel with excellent service, many happy guests and a top- reputation.
The surrounding nature plays a part as well: the Paradise is located on one of the best strips of beach and the jungle as well as the nearby national park are the perfect background for a relaxing holiday.
